[Solid pseudopapillary tumors of pancreas in Costa Rica: serie of cases and review of literatura].

Solid pseudopapillary tumors of pancreas are rare primary neoplasm of the pancreas, typically affects women.We have to describe our experience in the management of this kind of tumors in our center. Material and Materials and methods: We reviewed database from the Pathology Service in Hospital Calderon Guardia and Mexico Hospital between January 2013 to April 2018. We found 13 cases of solid pseudopapillary tumors, reviewed their charts and describe their data.We found 13 cases of solid pseudopapillary tumors of pancreas. The majority were women, and their middle age was 32 years old. The majority of cases were incidental findings, and the head of pancreas was the most common affected localization.This is the first report from Costa Rica that describe the characteristics of solid pseudopapillary tumors, our results were similar than international series.
