Physical Geography has in recent years developed certain tendencies which have led to a greater coherence
and to a greater degree of integration with the rest
of Geography. Of particular importance are studies of
the human impact, of environmental change and its
impacts, of the application of Physical Geography to
societal needs, of Geoecology and Landscape Ecology,
and of global change.
